  1. The same way he is going 'create' more oil, by inflating your tires, maybe the 'chosen one' will use his styrofoam left over columns to insulate the radiation with.

Vote McCain who has real energy plan

  2. you will not ge ta straight answer fro Obama so stop trying.

the only deal he could make to make atomic clean and safe is to pass a dea with his brothers in Kenya to dump our waste over there.

Atomic and nuclear power has been as clean and safe as can be for the last 20 years. Europeans have unburdened themselves thanks to it and have never had any major issues ... why do we have to be so picky about it? i tell you why ... d**n liberal environmentalist who think we should go back to wiping our butts with tree leaves.

    Bunch of loonies i swear.

Obama has no intention to change anything on the energy part reason is he has no plan all we know is that we will be independent from foreign oil in 10 years yippee! how? God only knows.

some will say wind and bio fuel ... yeah back to those same environmentalist loonies i was talking about.

    good luckk with that.

  3. You caught that, too. And about 300 other infantile statements. He sounded good, though, didn't he?

  4. He probably means raising standards on safety.

Can you make it safer? I doubt it. It's already a pain in the butt to even start a nuclear facility these days. Any more safety is probably just overkill.

I'm still waiting on that fusion technology!

  5. There has never been a fatality in America from Nuclear energy.  I don't know how you get safer than 0.

They has never been a member of the public injured from nuclear energy in America.  Once again 0 is tough to beat.

I think he made that statement, because from an environmental standpoint nuclear energy has a smaller environmental footprint than any other source.  With vitrification (turning to glass) the waste and busying it. It all becomes harmless.

Tough to beat, I think the country just needs to be a little more educated about it.  The French government went overboard to educate it's people before switching to roughly 90% nuclear energy.

  6. Fact is - it isn't a promise.

Atomic energy is already amongst the safest methods of energy production on the planet (look at Europe).  Truth is, the dems with their unrealistic environmental demands they have basically outlawed any new reactors coming on line.  There are two is TN that were never activated because of their bureaucracy.

  7. I think the idea is that you have more, or better, regulations in place to prevent accidents.

  8. It's already as safe as it's going to be.  Scientists learned from 3 Mile Island and Chernoble and understand its limitations now.  You can't make radioactive waste any safer.  You just can't.

  9. He will invent a time machine, go back and make certain the atomic power is not invented.

It is so strange that people are falling for his campaign about change. Change in and of itself is not good. You need to have direction. That is the problem; he is still wet behind the ears and completely inexperienced.

Scientists, not politicians, can make things safer or better. It is just another empty campaign promise.
