Are they generally more expensive than other horses?

What kind of horse is the best price for a good horse?

Are Andalusians expensive? Or what about a Quarter horse?

I'm really clueless here.

  1. 0-10,000+

like any other breed, alot goes into the priecing of a horse

pure breeds will ALWAYS be more money.

trained horses will ALWAYS be more money.

show horses and show horses that win will ALWAYS be more money.

you get what you pay for.

  2. Any horse can be from Free to millions, depends on what you are looking at and for.  I pay very little for mine, and do my training, I don't breed, or show so I don't need the "perfect" horse.  What are you looking to do with the horse, what are you experiences with them, need more info to help.

  3. Arabians and QHs are pretty common, so chances are that you can find registered ones for good prices.  A high earning show horse of any breed, obviously, is going to be pricey no matter what.  But you should be able to find many reasonably prices Arabs and QHs.  Andalusians, on the other hand, are less common and are more expensive.  Even crosses can be quite pricey.

  4. quarter horses you can get from $500 to 50,000

depends on if they are show horses or not

arabians.. are mostly show horses, but you can easily find them at an affordable price.

    idk about andalusians though

  5. it depends on what level you want to show at, but i would recommend getting a quarter horse. arabians are much more 'spirited,' and quarter horses can tolerate much more.

  6. I would say it really depends on the horses training etc. I think mares would go for higher prices than a gelding, as they can be bred

Andalusians would be more expensive out of the 3.

  7. Like everyone else said depends on their training.

You may get a horse that isn't broke for dirt cheap and it will be a Arabian. But then their are Arabians that are worth more than anything due to there bloodline/Shire/Dam or just what they are broke to do (halter, show, etc). But that is up to you on what you think is a reasonable price. Quarter horses are the same thing as arabians. But you may find them cheap cause they are great personal use for just trail rides. Andalusian where ever you find them are never cheap unless they have a horrible defect or something just cant keep them.

Horses that i think are for the best price normally and great for anything. This is also my opinion. Are Appaloosa and Paints those are the horses that have personality. Im not saying other breeds dont have the same quality. But these are the jokers and a pleasant ridge. If your looking for a comfortable ride and an easy going i suggest a draft. If you looking for something with speed then i suggest a Saddle bred, Thoroughbred, or standardbred. But like any horse depending on there training and lines the price can vary. But the good horses and the best price are one that are just trail horses and arena horses.

  8. Depending upon the bloodline, and training any type of horse can be expensive to buy. Over here in hawaii, at the last ranch a pure quarterhorse with papers costed 25,000 but was given for breeding stock as he could never be ridden again. another pure quarter horse only costed about 1,500dollars. a thouroughbred gelding costed 3,500 and it was barrel racing champion for hawaii. there are deals when you look for them and ask about their price, bloodline, whether they have papers ( those are more expensive than ones without them). The thing I have found about choosing a horse is that it fits you with your riding skill and their temperment matches up with you. test ride your horse as you do not want a lemon that will not move once leaving the gate, maybe taking off bucking. some horses are like that and unless you know how to ride well, you could have trouble or get hurt so you need to find out what the horse is like before buying. I am apologetic if it sounds as though I'm assuming that this could be your first horse, and I cop to it and will tell you that I am. I could be wrong but every horse buyer should know these things before getting one and if someone else who never had one reads this then maybe they will think on this answer I am sending back and gain a little from your question as well as this answer. Hopefullythis helps you and also others. Just know that prices range and depending onwhere you live it could also influence that.some places have adoption centers that you can find pure blooded horses for free. good luck in your finding a best friend for life. aloha taz

  9. It really depends what area you are in.  Where I live Arabians are the cheapest horse around.  Quarter horses are getting pretty cheap too.

But, Andalusians should be the most expensive pretty much anywhere as there are as many of them as the other 2 breeds.

  10. My research show Andalusians as the most expensive here. It is rare to even find one within a 200 mile range for sale.

Arabians (at least purebred) are also hard to find but not impossible and are generally more expensive here. I should know, been looking for them since I have two and want more next year.

Quarter horses and paints are very common here and I just got a QH pony for free last weekend and am helping someone sale one for $250. They do list up into the $1,000s though.

  11. With any horse it depends on show experience, the shape they are in, age, health, and training.

My barn just picked up a registered arabain mare, real pretty, pregnant(baby has been born, sire is a registered percheron.) for only 100 bucks.  You just have to know where to look.
