I believe it may be a tad bit more expensive than the US - as for cigarettes, i would think they would be cheaper since US taxes are so high....

Its been a few years since I went and then money was in FRANCS but I would say that Alcohol is a bit less expensive. For example, a 2.00$ Beer here is about $1.40 there.  Not much difference after you do Dollar VS. Euro but one this if for sure, Alcohol is CHEAPER than water and ice cubes are rare. Have fun!
