How expensive are cars today?

Question

i dont have any interest in getting a car - dont ask me why - i can more than enough afford a brand new Golf GTI (im 23).

But just want to know how expensive it is running a car today?

It depends on how mch you drive and how fast you drive. Gas, and insurance is mostley what you wil be paying for when you drive a car, considering that you dn't get into an accident. But from where i'm from, a car is VERY important. so go get one bro. You're 23...i am only 19 and i have one. Its somethig every person has to have even if you don't drive it. and go get an american car to help our US ECONOMY.

Yearly, after depreciation (lost in value) and insurance, my 2000 Audi A4 cost me about $5K per year.  That didn't include the maintenance for the first 3 years (warranty).  That did not include the cost of gas either (that will depend on how much you drive).

I'm 45 YO.

Well, as gas approaches $5.00 a gallon (and possibly way beyond!), the smaller and more mileage-efficient any car is, the better!
