How expensive are clothes in Dubai?

Question

Moving from NYC to Dubai, but usually we shop at cheaper retailers here. Trying to figure out if we should buy a lot of things here and bring them on the plane with us, or wait until we get to Dubai to keep free space in our suitcases

it varys just like any where in the world

you can find all brands in here (dior, chanel, gucci.. etc)

you can find regular stores which you're familier with in the states (CK, H&M, Forever21 , GAP, fifth saks avenue .. etc)

and you can find the arabic traditional stores (the clothes which are imported from India are much cheaper)

If I were to be in your shoes, I'd abstain from trying to "import coffee into Brazil"

Dubai has uncountable textile shops, from cheap discount shops to Armani, Prada, Gucci  Boutiques.

Last time I was in Dubai on transit  and had to stay overnight, I brought an extra -empty-suitcase, which I was able to fill to the brim within  less than 5 hours at a cost of roughly 180 USD
