If I want to adopt a younger child from someplace in Europe (France, Germany, Spain, Holland) how expensive would that be? Is it even legal?

  1. WOW.

"I want so I can"  MEANIE"

I will pray for whatever child comes your way. You have a lot of growing up to do.  Hope you other half is your better half and not immature such as yourself.

  2. Umm- well, judging by your additional comments, luckily for the orphans of Europe none of them will ever have to suffer through life as your child. It is not legal for people from the United States to adopt children from Western Europe as far as I know. Even if you "wanna adopt a kid from overseas" you actually can't. So there.

Some countries in Eastern Europe will let Americans adopt there. However, there is really no way to tell if your adopted (OR any biological) child will be "normal" as you put it, and many children  that are available for adoption will have some serious emotional/psychological issues due to their neglect in those countries, or they are available for adoption specifically because they are disabled in some way. Its like that in most of the countries around the world that let Americans adopt, some have better programs for the childrens care than others but most countries have very little money for that. I'm not saying all the kids have problems but a lot of them do. In order to adopt from any foreign country you have to be able to accept that risk.

I'm guessing you're pretty young but you have no idea really about how adoption works. You don't just pick out a cute pretty "normal" orphan like from a storybook and live happily ever after. Most children in those situations are available for adoption for very sad reasons, usually they were neglected/abandoned and then put into crappy orphanages or something. In foreign/international adoptions its the poor countries that don't have the resources for adequate foster care that let Americans adopt.

Also, your comments about getting a "normal" baby were just flat out offensive, I'm not even going to start on that.

  3. I'm not exactly sure but I know some people who have adopted from China and Russia and they ran up a tab of almost 25k.

I would honestly sugest adopting from here. There are so many babies that need placing that need just a fair of a shake as those from across the pond.

Another one of my friend got a crack baby and adopted it the second she could. It only cost them about 5k and he's worked out just super.

  4. you are looking for glory because a child is a child and we have plenty right here in the good ole' USA. if you want some one to look at you and say wow she has adopted a child from over the seas then woopie do

  5. The cost would depend on the country, just like the criteria to adopt varies.

Go to Google and search “ Holland Adoption”  or whatever country your looking to gather information.

I looked something up due to shortage of children in Spain, only legal residents of Spain may adopt and have to live in spain throughout the entire adoption procedure.

  6. Since when do we pay for people? Hmm. Don't think that's legal..

  7. The European countries you mention tend to find homes for the children who need them within their own Countries
