too expensive

unless your able to buy parts online and do the work yourself the cost of parts and service at dealerships will bankrupt you.

over $100 an hour for labor charges.

I own the 2000 Audi A4 (1.8t).

the maintenance is REALLY expensive.  My timing belt (and water pump) cost $1300 (parts and labor).  My civic only cost $350.  The Audi cat converter is $800 (parts only).  The Civic is about $250.

I would NOT EVER get the audi again.

I guess you should also check insurance quotes for Audi A4 before buying one, for example here: http://autoinsurance.maclenet.com

As I remember it is expensive to insure.
