How far along were you when you found out the gender?

Question

I was 20 weeks when I went for my ultrasound but they couldn't tell the gender. I go in for a second ultrasound in about a month. I was just wandering how far along other people were when they found out the gender and what are you having?

I found out at 17 and then had a 3d 4d ultra sound at 21 weeks and found out i was having a beautiful baby girl. It took a while to see at the 17th visit because she had her legs crossed and i got up and jumped around and she moved her legs but put her arm in the middle of her legs lol but when she finally moved it we saw her bits and pieces. You can see them as early as 16 but the bigger the baby the it is accurate. I couldnt wait to find out though so i wanted to see her as soon as i could (would have done 16 weeks but my bf was away for the military for a week). God luck!! And congrats!

I had been wondering the same thing. I am now 20 weeks and 2 days and my first ultrasound was 2 weeks ago. The baby was so scrunched up and hiding it's bottom half under the placenta that you could hardly see her legs in the ultrasound! I go in for another ultrasound on the 28th and I am PRAYING the baby has it's legs wide open!!! :) It's such a daunting wait!!!

I was 21 weeks when I found out the gender, but I have one friend who found out at 15 weeks and a few friends who's babies just never would cooperate so they either didn't find out until birth or didn't find out until the 8th month.

I was 32 weeks when I found out.  Only because at every other ultrasound she had her legs tight shut.  Gender can be seen as early as 16 weeks, but only if the baby is cooperating.  I would say at your next one drink alot of orange juice or soda or something you know will get your baby kicking around good and hopefully they will be able to see!

I found out last Thursday so I would have been 19 weeks 2 days. My baby was cooperating so I got lucky sometimes they dont like in your case. You can find out as early as 16 weeks I have heard butit all depends on if your baby is cooperating! I am having a little girl! It's very exciting. We thought it was a boy and then she said it looks like a girl! And told us how she came up with that and we were both jaws to the ground :). with my last baby, we found out at 18 weeks.  They say you can find out by 16 maybe, and by 20 for sure.  i am guessing that they couldn't tell you because the baby was hiding its parts, not because they weren't developed enough to tell.  I hope that your baby will show more at your next ultrasound.

with my first i was 23 weeks when i found out i was having a boy.  with this pregnancy i just found out I'm having another boy at 14 weeks!  My friend who was pregnant around the same time as me both times around, didn't find out what she was having with her first until she was 8 months pregnant.  Now with her second she had an ultrasound done at 18 weeks and they couldn't tell again, so she is getting another one at the end of this month, and she'll be about 22 weeks.

1st pregnancy- 21 weeks, 2nd- 18 weeks and the 3rd- 20 weeks. Sorry you couldn't get a peek. Maybe it is a girl and that is a good omen! I hope your baby is more cooperative the next time. Worse possible scenario is that you have an exciting suprise until the birth :). Congratulations and good luck!

I was 24 weeks when I found out.  He had his legs spread eagle, almost flaunting the fact that he was a boy.

I'm 21 weeks and still haven't found out the gender..I'm planning on just waiting till the birth, I think that would be so suprising and exciting for everyone =)
