  1. I seem to have luck growing corn (I was born in Indiana) so I always plant my seeds a foot apart.  I don't even bother thinning the seedlings as I don't have to at that interval.

    Mature corn is pollinated by the wind, so it helps to have corn close to each other AS LONG AS THEY ARE ALL THE SAME VARIETY!!!  This way the corn acts as shade for each other.

    Corn that I planted 1 May is now thigh-high and deveoping tassels.  I should have my first crop within a month!


  2. Recommended spacing for seeds is 2 to 4 inches apart in rows 24 to 36 inches apart.  Thin the six inch seedlings to 8 to 12 inches apart.

  3. Anywhere from 2 two 3 inches. I have sweet corn growing in my backyard and that is what I have done.
