Wanna bet the Chinese and Japanese say - "sorry bout that now we have to move onto Yellow fin"

Holy c**p I never thought I'd see the day when we manged to fish the seas out completely - I guess I was wrong.

  1. fresh trout/pike/catfish

  2. Unfortunately your guess is allot closer to the truth then you may surmise. There are now dead zones in the oceans and the over-fishing has been on the rise for years with the ships the have on board cleaning and packaging on site. If we don't stop this there will soon be no fish left in the sea. The reality is the population of this planet is doing a number on the entire food source. It doesn't help either when sharks are caught and the only thing they take from them is their fins, the shark is then cast back into the sea. When fish is brought into port those that fish should always keep in mind the demand and not bring in so much that a good portion of it goes bad and is tossed out when it has been in an open air market. The garbage is taken out to the middle of the oceans as well and just sent overboard. It's no wonder this once beautiful planet called Earth is in revolt, I would be to.

  3. Most of us would be healthier eating less and lower on the food chain.

When I shop for seafood I bring this guide with me.

It's put out by the Monterey Bay Aquarium

  4. I used to live where a lot of people fished.  There were many seafood houses there, but they could not use the fish from that water (pollution)...and had to send boats out into the ocean.

I think you're right.....my guess is that it's already too late as well.  Well, if people would do some protesting, and less fish eating (though that's what's supposed to be healthy for us)....it's possible the situation could reverse itself.......that's a big IF...

  5. wow.

i guess i won't be eating any sushi anymore, i don't think i could take the guilt of knowing that i am hurting the situation.

  6. Your probably right.. I do hope that a solution can come soon. Thanks for caring.
