How far away can you see a flash light at night?

How far away can you see a light at night? Say a clear night, with nothing between you and the light?

you'll be really shocked to know that if you attach a glowing bulb to the back of your head, and you really look hard in the sky,,,you'll be able to see the bulb!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wouldn't that depend on how good your vision was?  It would also depend on the wattage of the said light.
