  1. Interesting question ..the answer depends on the 'inclination' & eccentricity of the orbit, since, outside the Ecliptic, the gravity of the Moon and other planets will have much less effect on the craft and thus it can remain in orbit around the earth and not get pulled away as fast ..

    Of course at some point, the Earths gravity will be overcome by the Sun and then the craft will go into solar orbit instead ..


  2. A minimum of 300 kilometres to a maximum of 30,000 kilometres distance the satellites are placed in a Geo stationary tract and their utility and service are determines the distance to which they need to be placed in the space!
