  1. Well if you have a lid on top of the aquarium that's a safe distance don't worry just set it up their:)


  2. The UVB ratings are based on 12-18". For most tortoises, keep it at the upper end of the range- and remember- in the wild they usually only sun in the early day and late afternoon.
