  1. It might depend on the nature of violations or whether you have had accidents.  I would think that accidents or violations that could cause accidents (like running stop signs or red lights) would be more serious than minor speeding.

    I used to get a rash of speeding tickets every few years and never noticed it affecting my insurance rates.  But maybe in the computer age (or new policies) they keep closer tabs on that.

    Depending upon your state, state records might only show 3 years back (unless you have a DUI).


  2. It depends on what state you are in.  Usually, it's 4-10 years.

    Most all Companies look at least 2 years for infractions. Some look back 3 years.Anything less will be a trap, because they will quote you a price, and next premium: Bingo, increase. " We found a moving violation "3" years ago.
