  1. The use of fire actually began back around 800,000 years ago and involved many species of Hominids.  Homo Sapiens was the last and most recent species to appear, at the peak of the last great Ice Age.  Some place that as recently as 10-15,000 years ago, and others as early as 2-250,000 years ago.  For those who are into the blame game, let us place the blame where it belongs!  Humans were simply following the crowd!

  2. 150 years, the start of the idustrial age when we started to pump out large amounts of Co2 and other greenhouse gases.

Before that it would have been natural cycles that happen over 100,000 year cycles, unlike the current ~250 year change.

  3. As cold as it has been this year how can anybody even think any more that global warming is happening?

  4. from the start of industrial revolution

  5. You asked and answered your own question.

I've checked out the main site before, and it's one of the top sites I recommend when I'm using academia and/or government sites.

Off the top of my head I was going to say 10,000 years ago.

  6. Good question and a good link. I think the information on that site is accurate and might be one of the main reasons why this era in earth history have been relative stable and warm. So, until recently, our impact on climate might have been mostly good for humans.

But more is not always better. Our impact and emissions today are so much bigger, and we're now approaching a point (if we haven't already crossed it) where more warming will have more negative than positive effects for human life as a whole.

  7. I'm no scientist but i think it was the first invention man made creating pollution

  8. when god said let there be light
