The line is solid. The WRs are there. Thomas Jones has proven to be the better Bears back (goodbye, Cedric). How far will the Jets go with the addition of Brett Favre?

A couple days ago, I noted the Jets would be strong: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AnR7WOPwRoKXD1ZnFaXOmaXsy6IX;_ylv=3?qid=20080731220349AAMYhSo&show=7#profile-info-AA10785898

  1. The Jets might only make the playoffs, but they still will enjoy the limelight and all the attention for a change.

  2. The jets have the talent to at least make it to to the afc championship against the patriots.

  3. Favre throws so many interceptions, i'm surprised he even got green bay somewhere last year. And he thinks there's I in team, so he won't care.

  4. NO I seriously Doubt they'll even be in the Playoffs.

  5. With Brett Favre at quarterback, the jets become a serious playoff threat. When you get a veteran who understands the game as good as brett does  its like you have a coach on the field at all times. Alot of people are bashing favre about the interceptions that he has but that shows that he has balls and isnt afraid to throw it between double coverage. Just like in Green Bay favre will become close to his receiver and know exactly how they play the game. Hes not getting old like people say he's coming off of one of the best seasons he has ever had!! Jets fans should be very optimistic about this upcoming season!!!!

  6. Favre has to take them to the playoffs first and I don't think he can.

  7. farve will carry the jets to a 10-6 season and they will probably make the playoffs because they have done a lot of work this offseason its hard to tell how far they will go now because they have only played 1 pre-season game and favre didnt even play so its hard to tell

  8. Every year after a bad season, the Jets rebound with 10 wins.  10 wins will definitely be enough to be in the playoffs, and this team is certainly better than last year's.  Will he get to the playoffs?  Yes.  What he does there, remains to be seen.  But here's to hoping he mops the floor with the Colts.

  9. He will take the Jets to the playoffs, but not the next round, they'll lose in the Wild Card Game.

Why is everyone hating on Favre? He knows there isn't a I in team. Them haters are probably Vikings or Buccaneers fans and they're mad because Brett didn't go there.

  10. Even if they make the playoff, they'll lose the wild card game. Do you even know how tough those AFC playoff teams are. let's see you got the Chargers, Colts, Pats, (Steelers/Browns) and the Jags. Any of those teams can give the Jets a beat down.

  11. it is all about whether the team can gel. The team consists of young players and new free agents. the chemistry is not all there right now. And farve is used to an entirely different offense. To say they will def make the  the AFC championship game is absurd. Especially with NE, Indy, and Pitt all having solid teams. Farve has had the majority of his success with players he has played with for an extended period of time. Driver was still his go to guy last year. However with farve in the lineup it will open up room for the run and that will be beneficial.

Farve does give up INT's but so did chad and kellen. So that really isnt an upside but he does throw more TD's. I would say the Jets go aAT BEST... 10-6 with a wildcard berth. A possible win in the first round and def out by the second.
