  1. that guy/girl who just wrote you that long sweet message wrote a few other ppl, including myself, the same exact message.

1370 is horrible but then u could still get into state schools

  2. So far GPA looks pretty ok but SAT score a little under the average of 1500.  Please take the SAT again. You can take the SAT up to 3 times before you apply. And college like to see you improve! Do your best. Take more SAT before you apply to college!!! Some colleges take the highest writing, reading, and math scores you get out of all the SAT tests you take and add them up to your advantage so that's always good for you!

Try to get it around 1800 at least.  You can do a lot better than a 1370.  If your GPA is top 10% of your graduating class, then that can help you some.

Volunteer activities, leadership, overall GPA, your ESSAY, and interview (if you have one with a college rep) all add up to influence the college decision. This is not to say that a perfect SAT school will get you everywhere. That is so not true! A couple of my friends got perfect SAT and ACT scores and ended up getting rejected from some good universities that were not even IV's!

    Tips:

    - Do tons of practice problems and practice practice practice on those ESSAYS! they count for 180 pts of the overall score! Writing was the easiest part of the SAT for me because all you have to do is to learn to spot those grammar errors!

    - Maybe consider taking one of those SAT prep classes? Some have some really great tips to bring up your scores.

    - Maybe consider taking the ACT. I had a friend who didn't do so well on the SAT and ended up doing really great on the ACT and colleges like that!

    Good Luck!
