How far can a person go in automobile technology??

Question

Hello everyone!! i've been planning to study auto tech. I had plans of attending wyotech or Uti........but i now decided to attend to a community college. My question is.....How far can i go in this career?? i mean i don't want to get stuck by just being a regular mechanic. Do you people think this career will leave good money in my pockets?? alot of people tell me that im very handy with cars. but i want to make sure that im going in the right $$$ way.

the sky is the limit. this is where you begin, if you take all the various classes that associate with automotive systems you could get into say alternative power vehicles, fuel maximizing design, high performance design, motor cycle concepts, you see the world is there just go get it. superb is correct on doing it for love 1st and formost the money will follow.

If you choose any career for the money, you'll never have enough and the field you choose will never be satisfying. I'm in auto body and the money is good, but I won't get rich doing it. But I come home satisfied with a days work behind me because I enjoy what I do. If you enjoy working on cars, go for it. If you want to be rich, go into business.
