  1. i don't think that children should never be smacked. in many cases, taking away a toy or the tv works fine, but not always. my parents did spank me (not a whole lot- it worked pretty well). they tried taking away toys and tv, etc, but i didn't really care about those things so it didn't work. a sound spanking did the job for me.

there is a line between discipline and abuse however. some parents overstep that line and that's where the trouble is.

  2. No smacking/hitting any child for any reason! Not at home and not in school!

Teach your child "no hitting Elizabeth" (insert your child's name there.

also "hands are not for hitting"

  3. they can go evenb farther then you know it.. perhaps even death:S

its hard to beleve that, but there have been alot of cases were parents have gone to the point were death is the only oppstion.. HOWEVER, that is the worst most terrible way to punish a child, and should never be done, no matter how bad a child is.. some other punishings can be slapping, hitting punching, hitting them against object.. its a cruel wrld out there

^^^ look at the above and youll be amazed, most issues happen if the child is in a poor family, or in a froeign country..

  4. Personally i dont think you should ever smack children. Why hurt a child? even if it is to teach them a lesson, theres so many other way to teach them lessons. I think the way to punish children should be with, taking things they enjoy away until they are say sorry, or learn to behave. Example, Dont let them watch t.v, Dont let them have Sweets, Dont let them play With certain things they enjoy. Till they understand that bad behavouir ends with bad consequences x x

  5. Like Old  fashion with the belt.

  6. You can go as far as you want, just be ready to suffer any consequenses of those actions.
