  1. i run about 85-90 miles a week, but that is a high level of training.  For beginners expect 4-6 mile runs every day in practice.  races are 3.125 miles, 5 kilometers.

  2. all races are 5 k's like 3.2 miles

now practices for me used to be like 30 miles a week(mon-fri) sometimes u have 10 mile runs sometimes u have 2 mile sprints just depends

  3. at my school, jv runs 2-3, and varsity runs 3-5. your coach will put you in whichever group you need to be, so don't worry about having to run too far :)

  4. Each race is different, but be expecting to run a 5K, that is 3.2 miles.  Some of my favorite runs are the short, fun runs where you run relays, but only have to run about 2 miles. Cross country will be fun and you should do it =)

  5. in high school you run a 5k, 3.1 miles.

it depends on what your level of running is, if you can only run 1 mile now, then thats what you start at.  it helps to have a good coach.

also, i highly recomnend runner xc, i do.

  6. Races are usually 5 kilometers, or 3.1 miles.

Practices vary greatly in distance.  Recovery runs may be only 3-4 miles, whereas a workout may be as much as 3-4 miles warm-up, 2-3 miles of workout, and then a cool-down of maybe 1 mile.  However, that is a very extreme case, and is usually only for stronger runners.

Freshmen and/or beginners are usually started off very easy, with maybe 1-2 miles a day, and working their way up until they can run the 2 minute recovery days, and simple workouts, including intervals and hills.

    hope this helps!

  7. It depends which school and level; JV, varsity, etc. but you can expect about not more than 3 or 3.5 miles per race.

Could be as short as 1 or 2 miles though.
