Myself my commute is 39-42mi, depending on which way I go.  39mi if I run down the back roads & state routes, 42mi if I go out to the interstate & go down.  It takes 45mins-1hr.

My husband has it even better.  We live 1 1/2mi from his workplace.  His commute is around a 5min drive at the most, then a 5-10min walk, since he works downtown & cannot park next to his workplace.

Don't know how many miles BUT

1st Bus: 25Mins journey (+5 minutes walking to the bus stop!)

2nd Bus:30Minsjourney (+5 mins waiting time!)

5 mins walk to college

total: 1 hour and 5 minutes (give or take 10 minutes dependant on the day)

so total per day 2 hours 10 minutes (give or take)

and to think the same journey by car is just 30 minutes (each way) from my door to the college !

I travel 32 miles, mostly on country roads and I leave myself 50 minutes for the journey. Great scenery and not a speed camera the whole way.   Car is a SAAB 900s and  averages 39mpg.

we live on the edge of town.I travel 8 miles away from town my trip takes 10 minutes....My wife works in town ,her 1 mile trip takes up to half an hour!
