I use my 6 iron for 160 to 170 yard shots. It's actually one of my more acurate clubs as far as straight and consistent flight.

I'm 17 years old and 6'2". I hit my 6 iron 185 with a 85% swing. I can muscle it to clear obticals and keep the higher tragectory that a 4 iron falls to yeild. I believe 97% of the time if you take a little off your swing it will go further.

It depends, in high altitudes 170yds. In low elevations 160yds.

Dead wind/perfect weather/ flat lie conditions:

180-184yds

Obviously as the conditions change, i can hit it as a knockdown from 120yds or as a full shot (with wind from behind) 185-200yds

Conditions determine a lot though because you almost never get the flat lie/dead wind combo....

normally around 170.  if i pure it, i can knock it 180+.....but these days, that's rare.
