Did you see the game against Canada they won by 55 in a game that didn't matter and they didn't have Lebron playing.  The previous record high against Canada was 50 points in a game that did matter.

The team is not being paid to play, messing up their time off, most are not patriotic in any way, they really don't give a d**n about the USA or the Olympics.

Bear in mind, Lebron, Kobe, Dwight and company are not the same players they were four years ago. The USA probably have the most balanced team in the entire world (Prince, Durant both forwards with G abilities). I'm definitely seeing a glint of gold for the US of A

BUT they should be WORRIED about Spain and Argentina, both those teams have experienced players on the international stage and they have beaten the U.S. team in the past.

Argentina: Delfino, Ginobli, Herrman, Oberto, Scola, Noicioni

Spain: Calderon, Navarro, Fernandez, Rubio, S. Rodriguez, Garbajosa, Pau Gasol, Marc Gasol, Fran Vasquez, Mumbru

those 2 teams should scare the U.S. the most, but I still expect the U.S. to win GOLD.

i think the US Team seems very focused this year- and they are not taking it for granted that the gold is just going to be handed to them just because they are the USA.  The most impressive thing about yesterday's win was the way they played defense- i think you will continue to see this kind of effort from team USA-- and i think we're looking at Gold in Beijing!  Go Red, White, and Blue!

Im thinking GOLD. The team has an insane amount of talent, but they also mesh together really well.

With their team loaded with talent it seems like they could blow past the competition and get the gold medal. But they have some problems in the sense that Dwight Howard is their only big man who is only 6 ft 10. And he'll have to face the likes of Ming and Gasol. Also there are the tough teams like Argentina, China and Spain. I think the US though will make the championship game. And hopefully win gold.
