  1. As far as it is necessary or the hole will allow, and time and circumstance will permit.

  2. The rabbit goes down the hole as far as it wants to go.

At least one time it must have gone to the bottom, if it is a hole that the rabbit made.

  3. Far enough to eat the chicken on the other side. Or is it the egg?

  4. in "alice in wonderland" the rabbit actually reaches the end of the hole... on time!, so im guessing not that far down

  5. As far as he needs to.

  6. It is better to see that there is no "rabbit hole"  and that it goes neither up or down nor leads to any destination.  Thoughts, perceptions, ideas, opinions are all intellectual vanities that are presumed to have actual existence.  They only attempt to edit what the mind cannot register, which is why the mind cannot comprehend infinity.  All mentaliztions are approximations or estimates at best of what really is.

Transcend the mind when you realize it cannot truly tell you anything (as Big Man Soc concluded).  The mind knows about something.  Knowing is becoming and identifying with the known.  The mind can know about China, which is different that going there and integrating the culture.
