  1. probably not with all the houses in between blocking the signal

  2. no because wirless routers are used for in home wirless inless your houses are very close you may be able to git a wireless router booster for router and one for labtop

  3. Probably not. Wireless internet is like a cordless phone. If your cordless phone will reach to their house then the internet should too. You would probably have to have a 5.8ghz router. Try it and see.

  4. Depends on a lot of things...only way to find out is try it.  Most reach 100-500 feet, give or take depending on weather, interference, and obstructions.

Plants, trees, and bushes will decrease the signal quickly...and put the router as high as you can (preferably in a window) to help it out.

I could "see" one person's network in my list 6 houses away but it was at an angle (I'm on a side-street) so I had nothing in the way from my house to their back yard...but I can't use my computer at my next-door neighbor's house only 50 feet away because of all their trees between my house and theirs.
