I'm going to Ireland in 3 weeks, and I have a Eurail pass, but I know some trains require reservations. Is that something I can do once I arrive, or are they booked quickly?

  1. you can book them when you arrive in Ireland

  2. It depends. If there is a major sporting event on around the time you'll be here, you would be much better off to book them right away. However, I don't think there is, so you could chance leaving it until you arrive.

But you will find that the trains don't go to the most interesting places Ireland has to offer!

  3. You can book when you arrive. You don't need a reservation to travel, you can just show up.

If you're travelling on commuter trains or on Friday afternoon/Sunday evening, it will be busy, so a reservation is not a bad idea. Most other times are fine - they just keep cramming people on until the doors can't close, so worst case scenario you'll have to stand.

Get to the station at least half an hour before you travel though, people without reservations start to queue up early, so if you want to be sure of a seat (and be sure of the person at the ticket desk figuring out your Eurail pass), get there early. And have a nice time!

  4. hi you

your safe in letting it till you come
