  1. Hi, it is about 125 km from Luxor to Edfu temple.

So it would take about 2 hours by road.

you can see a map of it here:- http://www.egyptmyway.com/maps/nile_vall...

But if you are in Luxor, then Aswan should be a high priority on your list to visit - it is so lovely there, and close by is the amazing Temple of Isis.

Good luck, I hope you get to see Edfu and Temple of Isis.

    :)

  2. i did this by convoy about 3 years ago. It does take about 2 hours but you have to travel by convoy. if you arrange with your taxi the day you want to go and agree a price before  hand in Egyptian pounds for the whole party, which should cost you too much about £15 English to £20 i would think though prices may have gone up a bit. the driver will tell you what time he picks you up and then you will go to the convoy meeting point. The convoy drives direct to edfu with some stopping off at esna  en route. i belive there is one comfort stop (as they say) but other wise they do NOT stop. all roads are cleared on the route so you get straight through. at the temple you will have about an hour before the convoy goes back again. If this is not enough for you, you can ask the driver what time the next convoy is. The convoys travel from Aswan to luxor stopping off  at various tourist stops or travelling straight through according to what the tourist has booked.  edfu Temple is amazing its complete and fabulous to see. But it is only about 2000 years old as its greco/roman.

the other temples in luxor, Karnak, luxor and others such as  medinet habu are more like 3500 years old but they are all amazing in their own way.

have a great time if you want any other info e mail i visit luxor as a tourist about 2 or 3 times a year.

  3. not sure, try searching it online and maybe look at a map

  4. 3 hours from aswan, three hours from luxor.

  5. not far :)
