I would guess it's close to 3000 MILES... why?... planning to make a quick one hour trip over to see the Rio Grande when you visit S.J.?

The first 2 answerers dont understand that you are asking about San Juan, PR & Rio Grande, PR. It is only a 45 minute drive between them.

You should try this on Yahoo maps...but San Juan CA to the Rio Grande River is over eleven hours.

Rio Grande is about 20 - 25 miles east of San Juan (take highway 3).

It all depend on the time  You're planning to go and the Day.

During the weekdays  wait after 9am  to  start driving  it will take you 30-45 minutes...
