  1. Just walk there. stop being lazy

  2. Walking distance. I'd say all of Manhattan is walking distance.

  3. about 15 blocks

  4. It's a bit of a walk but it's nice walking around in NYC.  A taxi drive would take you less than 10 minutes.  But walking will let you see alot of new york !

  5. Well, if you're standing in Times Square and just want to get to where the park physically begins, you have to walk 17 blocks north to 59th Street.  If that's enough for you, then great, you're there.  It's just under a mile.  If you need to get anywhere special in the park, you'll have to add that distance.  If you want to take the train, take the 1 at Times Square to 59th Street/Columbus Circle and you'll be on the southwest corner of the park.  If you have any other destination in mind within the park, plan the trip here (or walk or take a cab):

  6. My friend, Central Park is not that far from Times Square, close to 20 blocks. Depending on your walking speed, it will take about 20 to 30 minutes.

    Good luck

  7. Central Park spans 5th Avenue from the 60's to the 80's.  Times Square is on Broadway (just a block down from 5th) on 42nd.  It's walkable and cab-able.

  8. It is just about a mile.  Walk up seventh avenue and the time will pass in a flash, there is so much to see.  Many stores may tempt you so it could take a while.  There is a very large Toys R us and a Virgin Megastore, to name a couple.

The park begins at 59th street and goes up to 110th street, but most of the attractions in the park that you seek are probably within the lower part of the park, between 59th and 72d streets.

  9. About a 20-min. walk, uptown taking either 7th Avenue or 6th Ave/Ave. of the Americas. About 15-18 blocks, depending on your starting-point assuming you're in the 42nd-44th St. area and in the middle of Times Square (59th St. starts the park).

And the park itself is immense, bigger than you can imagine it to be when you first enter --- bring your sneakers, is all I'm saying. (But all worth it)
