  1. The distance is about 28 kilometers which is a little more than 17 miles.

  2. That's an interesting question Amanda.  You ask for the distance and not for information on how to get there or the time involved.  Very interesting...  I also notice that you hide your answers to the public.  Also, very interesting.

There's only one person that actually answers your question (also very interesting).

  3. RER B : Charles de Gaulle to Chatelet (36 minutes)

    and after

Métro 14 : Chatelet to Saint Lazare (4 minutes)

    Bienvenue en France !

It tells you how to go from the airport to the gare st. lazare if you don't want to take the taxi! But it's not close, i mean you can't walk there! have a nice trip!! =)

(The gare st lazare is in Paris and Paris (downtown) is about 45 minutes from the airport by car according to the trafic!)

  5. I think there's a shuttle that leaves from the airport and brings you to Paris... It'll cost you 20 to 30 euros i think...And It 'll take at least 1 hour (depending on the traffic)

But you could also take the RER B and subway

You can buy tickets at the airport.

You can download a wallet size metro map..

Charles de Gaulle airport is on the upper right corner of the map  (CDG)

Follow the blue line (RER. It's a train) till you get to the red line (that's your stop "Chatelet"  ) then follow the purple line (Metro line N°14) and stop at Gare Saint lazare.

The trip should take 1 hour depending on the day and hour of the week...

I think the tricky part will be once you get off the RER to take the metro...So make sure you have plenty of time ahead of you before you catch your train...

    But you'll be alright... :-)

People living in big cities such as Paris, London are always in a hurry when using the subway so don't take it personnally if some are a bit rude or impatient with you... or pushing you to get in the metro... ! :-)

Have a nice trip and welcome to France !

  6. I don't know the exact mileage, either, but I do know that it is considerably further than 2 miles!  By RER & Metro, it would take about an hour.  By taxi, it would also be about an hour, unless you're traveling at rush hour.  Your best bet in terms of cost and time is probably the airport shuttle, get off at Opera and get on Metro line 3, direction Becon.

A map of the Paris Metro & RER system is available at www.ratp.fr.  You can click the British flag at the top of the page to get English text.

  7. I'm not sure of the exact mileage, but it appears that it is less than 12 miles. You can follow this URL and see for yourself.
