It depends on the urgency to get there. If you are traveling in a car and you have to pee really bad because you just drank 3 cups of coffee and the sign you just passed says "200 miles to the next rest stop".....THAT is too far. But if you are going to visit friends that live 200 miles away, that is NOT too far.
