How far is it by cab to the hilton at the docklands from paddington station or by underground?

going to the o2 arena and staying at the docklands hilton in march and not sure how to get there

  1. Assuming you can find a cabby willing to go Sarf of the River (the later at night it gets, the less likely IIRC) it's about 8.5 miles.

    Since TFL sets the tariff in metres these days, I'll convert.

    13.7km works out at a minimum of about £22-23 *if* you can get a non-stop run, on the lowest tariff Mon-Fri 6h-20h.

    If the taxi's moving at less than 10.4mph the meter ticks up on time as well (at over £22 per hour!) So if you're sat in traffic it could go a LOT more than the original guesstimate.

    I'd recommend either pre booking a taxi - or licensed minicab - or work out a public transport route.

  3. It's quite a long way, and if traffics bad you could be up for £30 or more.

    There's always the Tube from Paddington, just take the Bakerloo Line towards Baker street, then change the Jubilee Line direct to North Greenwich and the 02 Arena is a short walk?
