How far is it from Kovalam (Kerala) to Munnar (Kerala) and what about transportation facilities?

Kovalam is a beach resort on the southern most tip in Kerala and Munnar is a hill station about 3 - 4 hrs from Cochin, which is close to central Kerala.

The only way to get to Munnar is by road.

You can catch a train to Cochin or Kottayam and then switch over to drive.

If your a tourist and staying in a resort in Kovalam, they should be able to arrange transportation for you as I'm sure you probably won't be the only one doing that route on that day.

Both the places are popular tourist destinations.

It is really far way places...i think it should take you some 10 hours from Kovalam to Munnar vis Kottayam  ... A simple way to travel is to go to Kottayam and from there go to Munnar
