How far is it from matamoros to Tampico?

we are going to be in Mexico for New Years 2007. We want to catch a bus from matamoros and go somewhere on the water close enough to travel by bus. Can anyone help me?

It appears to be 398 miles.  Just use the + or - key on the left side of the map and magnify the area by Brownsville, Texas and you'll see Matamoros.  Click on that and then find Tampico and click on that and it will give you a line and estimated mileage.

I put in the second link as a backup.  I wasn't of the exact name of where you where you were starting or ending (as odd as that may seem) but expedia gave more than one choice so I chose one.

To use expedia.com, click on maps on the top tabs and put in your destinations and it will give you directions.  It came out pretty close to what my first link said.

The nice thing about expedia.com is that they give you driving directions (just in case you drive it yourself).
