  1. It's not the nicest area to walk but it's only 10 minutes and at those times of day you'll be fine.

However, I would suggest you look at Futureworks. Many of the key staff from SSR walked out and set up their own business. Having toured both schools, Futureworks is far better equipped - and, as I say, many of the key staff are there now.

  2. It's about 700 metres from Piccadilly station. SSR is at 65-69 Downing St, M1 7JE.

From the main concourse of Piccadilly station, take the exit onto Fairfield St (take the escalator down towards the Metrolink tram station, but rather than take the 2nd escalator, on the left, to the trams, turn right and take the other escalator to the exit, next to the taxi rank). Turn right when you come out of the station, on Fairfield St and walk about 100 metres to the junction with London Road / A6. Turn left and walk down London Road for about 600 metres. After you pass under the Mancunian Way overpass (take care crossing the road junction) the A6 becomes Downing St; about the same distance after the overpass as you already walked before it, you come to Ardwick Green North on the left, and SSR's just down there. It should only take you a few minutes to walk it.

Apart from the danger of traffic on one of the country's main A roads, I don't see what's unusually dangerous walking that way in the middle of the day.
