How far is the Eiffel tower from Charles DE Gaulle airport?

I will have some lay over time. Could you walk their from the air port.

No you could not. the distance from CDG to the Eiffel tower is roughly 20 miles as the crow flies.

If you have sufficient time you can get to the tower from CDG by taking the RER B (light rail system) from the airport to the  Saint-Michel Notre-Dame stop and transferring to the RER C line marked "Direction:Versailles-Rive Gauche" which takes you to the Champ de Mars-Tour Eiffel stop. The toweer itself is a 10 minute walk from the station.

Total one way time for the trip is about an hour.

It's about 15 miles so you wouldn't want to walk it but their public transportation system is great and I wouldn't miss the tower if you can help it.  The subway system runs right from Charles DeGaulle to the Eiffel Tower. Bon Chance et Bon Voyage!
