  1. Twizi has a Dublin page with a map of all the hostels and they only list places that cost less than 25 bucks! Happy travels, the Dublin hostel page is below.

  2. dublin is about 6 miles south of the airport

no train but plenty of busses private and public.

hostel info in tourist information office suffock st.

  3. Bus numbers 33,41 & 16 serve Dublin airport from about 0530 to about 2230. The airlink buses are a rip off. As soon as you hit the airport (hopefully early morning rather than late night, go to the DublinBus desk in the arrivals spill out area [Its way off to your left as you come out] and get a day pass for Dublin Buses for about 6euros or buy a book of them [I think its five for 17euros] Research bus routes carefully before leaving home. Look out for the scenic and long distance routes. 33 and 44 are spectacular. 16 goes all the way from Dublin Airport to the foothills of the Dublin mountains. 75 joins the brilliant shopping centres of Tallagh and DunLaoire. Use trains to move from one city to another such as Galway, Cork, waterford and Limerick. Also try smaller towns like Tullamore, Athlone. Dungarvan. I have heard of a train rambler ticket but can't tell you any more. In cities stay at hostels, Out in the country stay B+B. Bed abnd breakfast in ireland is a holiday in itself. Some are c**p. Some are freezing. Some are sourpussed oul bats but 99.9% of Irish B+Bs are only BRILLIANT. They treat you like family. They'll do anything for you within reason and you will love them. Convinced yet?

  4. You can get the airlink from the top of O'Connell Street or there are are buses going from Busaras.

    a few hostels:

    Dublin International Hostel

    61 Mountjoy Street, Dublin,  Ireland

    Abbey Court

    29 Bachelor's Walk, Dublin, Dublin 1, Ireland

    Isaacs Hostel

2-5 Frenchmans Lane, Dublin 1, Dublin, Dublin, D1, Ireland
