  1. When an outside force tells you that you have reached the final straw. If not, just keep on reaching for it.

  2. History.  By knowing similar past situations, one can predict with some accuracy when things are about to unravel, go south, go haywire, etc., etc.

Science.  By knowing sufficient parameters of the subject in the present, one monitors the situation re tipping point, unfolding, etc.

Intuition.  A gut feeling or still, small voice, etc.

"The Path of the Higher Self," Mark Prophet,

"The Reincarnation of Edgar Cayce?", Free and Wilcock,

    "Expecting Adam," Martha Beck,

"The Great Divorce," C. S. Lewis,

    "Freakonomics," S. Levitt,

"Watch Your Dreams," Ann Ree Colton,

"Testimony of Light," Helen Greaves, all give examples.

  3. full belly and good nights sleep help us bend over backwards if we have too… signs that we’re reaching that snapping point… been unable to concentrate or focus… itchy even burning eyes… mind is stuck on re-runs… this sense of righteousness… now we’re primed all we need is a little unwelcomed surprise to push us over… signs that we’ve crossed the line… inner calm… acceptance… and action... although its more like we’re sitting shot gun then driving at this point… the best we can do is put on some tunes to suit the occasion and try and enjoy the ride…

  4. depending on the situation you are in. For a person that is doing something then once it starts to be on their conscious mind, that is going too far. If you have to think twice b/c it may not look good, or make you look bad, and you know its bad, then its going too far.

If you are the person that is dealing with it, then if you are hurting or it begins to be a issue with you, affecting you, then it is going too far. Hope this helps.

  5. when you break...  if i were you, i wouldn't let myself get close to that point.  it's not fun to try to put yourself back together again.  no more bending.

  6. When Mom's said the same thing 20 times in a row and she uses my full name in her Don't Mess With Me voice....  THEN I know she's reached the end and I better do whatever it is she wants me to do ASAP!!  lol

I know I've had enough when I start clenching my jaw and crying even though I don't want to.

  7. You have gone past the point of bending when a distortion or fracture occurs that cannot be undone by stopping whatever you were doing.

Think of a spring or rubber band.... if you stretch, it will snap back when you release it. If you stretch a rubber band past its point of bending, it breaks. If you stretch a spring past its point it will not spring back.

  8. Think mathematics, think of the concept of limits, think of an asymptote. For instance, as you approach an asymptote, or limit, you begin to bend while still approaching that limit, but you can never physically 'cross it'. Although you may put an infinite amount of energy into attempting to cross this line, your efforts will prove futile.

'Going too far' is a relative statement. It's all circumstantial and you'll only truly ever know if you've crossed the line or not, if you find yourself amongst the unfamiliar or unknown or, in a corny sense, the forbidden zone.

  9. You can summon a second wind, and God help you if that's not enough.
