  1. It is about a 12 hour drive from Vancouver to Alberta. It is a bit slow coming through the mountains because you can't go as fast as you on the flat prairies.

  2. You well come. I know only calgary to vancover is 10 hrs drive

  3. Vancouver, BC is approximately 500 miles from the Alberta border or 750 miles from Calgary and a little further from Edmonton.  About a 12 to 13 hour drive from either city to Vancouver.

  4. 3 days? It depends what route you take, which is suggested by the mode of transportation you choose.  From where in Alberta would you be leaving? How much time/money do you have?

All other things being equal, I'd keenly choose taking the train. Check out "1,000 Places To See Before You Die", for details, especially between Banff and Jasper.

  5. Depends where in Alberta you are travelling from. On Highway 1, you cross the border near Lake Louise, and if you continue on Highway 1 to Kamloops and then Highway 5 to Vancouver, about 500 miles (800 kilometers)

If travelling from Edmonton or north central Alberta, you cross over near Jasper, and then travel south on Highway 5 to Vancouver, about 495 miles (785 kilometers).

There are other crossings as well, including Highway 3 (the Crowsnest Pass in the south), and Grand Prairie in the north.
