The Culture of Entertainment.

How entertainment has become our favorite passtime, not just entertainment but fribolus, mindless, entertainment. (my interpretation correct or not I am onpen on receiving imput) How that has become our passion and some of us have become experts, masters, PhD holders of this industry.

Aren;t there better things that we can spend the majority of our time doing? Are there better things that we can spend on becoming experts in in our spare time? I think there is, really.

many of us are major consumers of it. But who, and for what purpose is behind all this shaping that reality for us? Is it worth our time. Our 50-70 years on this earth. on this unknown, unexplained existance, on this mystery of life. Is the majority of this entertainment worth of my life, time, freedom, mind, worthy of my consideration and devotion?

How we may let it shape our lives and how we become victims of its profits and goals without reguard for human dignity, self-resp

Alas it is when muses and the less than wise discarded their scripts and endeavoured to lead public opinion that trouble ensued. ******** immoral, ambitious and lustful participants of the rat race that is media cannot with any conviction or sincerity preach of matter pastoral. The dismantling and fragmentation of the church has given the industry greater precedence over their audience seeking peace, enlightenment and salvation in the pits and pair of the devil and his entourage.

Media; the devils most powerful tool to destroy God and humanity.

  4. Lets put it to you like this...

How into YA would you be if there werent any points to win, to compete and compare yourself with your fellow patrons?  Yahoo Answers is a game, not a community... we arent here to help, for the most part... we are here to be heard, win points, be the top-dog, have our egos stroked, etcetera, etcetera.  YA had to be that way just to get and keep peoples attention... since they have the span of gnats.

  7. I agree with what you are saying.

"Entertainment" has been created for those who can make money out of it. It isn't worth any body's time (with the exception of those evil few who make money out of it).

Some people are discerning enough to see through it. However, the majority of people aren't. Hence the way it has eroded societies morals. They assume that because they see their favorite celebrity behaving in an immoral way, that therefore it is acceptable to do the same.
