  1. You've got to give us more info. Most important, where are you going out from and what type of craft are you going in? With that info you'll be able to get some answers!

  2. I am in the US, so I wouldn't have a clue about the fishing in Australia...I see the boat has twin 230's which would probably burn 10 gallons per hour if running with trim tabs..Remember the cardinal rule of offshore, and divide your fuel into thirds..One third out, one third back, and one third in reserve...I also would not be offshore without a good com radio, and GPS...Even here in the US, you can have a decent 1/2 day trip for 100 gallons or so....

  3. It all depends on where you are fishing. Example, I fish the northern Gulf of Mexico a good bit, depending on the port I am fishing out of my run is anywhere from 100+miles (oil rigs) 80 miles (desoto canyon), etc... If I am fishing in Kona Hawaii, the run can be as short as 1 or 2 miles to huge marlin, same in Cabo San Lucas Mx. (where my pic in atavar was taken, see the mountains in background? that is a striped marlin).  Out of lower keys, the run can be 5 miles up to 20 or more miles if fishing wood's wall.  In Miami, only a couple of miles out of the cut....see, the answer to your question depends solely on where you are fishing.
