ok i know that at 20 weeks a typical case would be that your uterus has just reached your belly button well i'm 22 weeks and feel the baby like 2 inches above my belly button. and my fiance` has even felt him kick there too. i have been feeling it quite often too. so i was wondering is that where it should be at 22 weeks??

And if it was twins, i would think that my OB would have noticed.

thank you!

  1. The top of your uterus should be just above your belly button when you lay down. When you are sitting everything is squished up a bit more so it might sit a little higher. When you first wake up in the morning before you get out of bed to pee, if you have a full bladder you should be able to feel the top of your uterus.

  2. Well the # of weeks you are usually co-insides with the # of CM from your pubic bone to the top of your uterus. 22 weeks = 22 CM. Plus or minus a Cm or 2.

Babies usually grow at the same rate up to 20 weeks or so and from there they will tend to follow their own growth curve. Whos to say its not twins? every pregnancy has a risk of being twins...but you would be bigger then 22CM if you are having twins.
