How far will the US citizens let all of this nonsense go before doing something about it?

Such as allowing the gorvernment to make descisions without our consent, stop eating so much fast food that makes us fat and sick so the medical industry keeps padding their wallets, stop using scare tactics and terms such as "terrorism", "terrorist", and "post- 911" just to name a few in order to force the genral public to conform? Please add any other feelings to your answer.

I know this looks like some long reading but just try and look into it if you’re up for it.

      Alright I believe your first question was that the government makes decisions without our consent; that is true to a certain extent but not literally. The people vote to elect a person into office that they believe will make good choices in what our country needs most. It is a majority vote by the people of the United States of America. Witch is not totally true because barley more then half of the people in America do not! vote! As in just over 50% witch doesn’t happen to often check it out if you don’t believe me the facts are there. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Voter_turno... there for saying it is not a majority vote of the people, which includes registered voters who do not vote. It all comes down to civic virtues DEF. (patriotism for your country) of the people here in America. I believe that a lot of the people here in the states have lost there patriotism to stand up for this country, (don’t take it the wrong way) I’m not saying there isn’t people that are all for this country, I’m just saying that a lot of Americans have forgotten what we stand for and stopped worrying about the country. what I’m saying is most Americans are more involved in there own personal live other then what’s going on in the world (I’ll say it again I don’t mean all Americans I just a bunch of them maybe even majority(but that’s just opinion mostly))but what we are suppose to be standing up for is; freedom DEF.(I’m sure you know what that is) , domestic tranquility DEF. (http://www.answers.com/topic/preamble-to...  but as I was saying about the common defense is that as our god given rights (its a figure of speech I don’t believe in a god I believe in fact over faith, please no offense in your beliefs I don’t mean to discriminate at all don’t take it the wrong way) but as Americans, if the federal govement gets to much power we as the people need to throw them out of office. why I say there getting to much power is that there f# (&! n@ up our amendments, there trampling all over them! don’t even act like you don’t know what I’m talking about! if you don’t believe me try not to narrow your opinion to narrowly, just take a sec. and think about it; ... I know you hear this one a lot but the patriot act for example? you know what it is? DEF. But don’t stress about it they are suppose to use it against suspicious activity from supposed terrorist. I hope your not thinking I’m just a weird A$$ conspiracy freak or something, I’m a kid who wants to speak what’s on his mind (I also play drums for a band called the akashic, DEF. Witch brings up another one of our amendments that have been stepped on. But I’m going to stop there I really want to here some other comments from other people. I hope I answered some questions.(just remember its just my opinion if you want to believe it or not) I think our Government is getting more and more corrupted, I think soon enough were going to have to do something about. if you think about it for a minute all the would powers in the past, thought they were doing  what they thought was right for man/woman-kind... but in the end the future always comes up with better and more efficient ways for us as people to get along with each other. But hey I believe in majority vote what the people want not just for America but all the people of the world, what do you got to say about it? (Sorry for righting a whole essay about it)

the general public has proved that they cannot take care of themselves...they do whatever they want...they except no consequences for their decisions and yell foul...I want to sue...the only way American can protect itself from itself is to legislate us to death

My "feelings' (and yours, for that matter) are mitigated on the fact that we vote for politicians to run the country for us.

You don't like it?

Well, did you vote?  (or are you old enough?)

If you did, and don't like the direction the country is going, vote them out of office.

If you didn't vote, quit moanin about it.

If you're too young to vote, your time will come.

Personally, I'm going to do all that I can to vote both Specter and Casey out of the senate ASAP, after the fiasco of the "Shamnesty' bill that they tried to ram down my throat.

That's why i love the Internet, it let's the folks in DC know we haven't forgotten about them!

We started the patriots along the border to help enforce the laws on our books that are being over looked...as far as terrorism, terrortist, post 9-11, not sure what you mean...from what I see islamofascism is very much alive and dangerous and we'd be naive to stick or heads in teh sand and pretend it's not a threat...wake up dude and smell the coffee.
