I have been a fan of the caps since 97-98 season and I'm only 15 years old. The caps should of had more publicity of what they did last year making history. I think the caps can get pass 1st and 2nd round, but i don't know about stanly cup just yet. What do you think they have Ovechkin, Backstrom, Semin, Green, Nylander, Kozlov, Federov, Theodore and a good backup in brent johnson. I want the pen and flyers fans to be honest becasue we are a very dangerous team.

  1. With Ovechkin's talent and if Jose plays the way he did for the Habs, anything's possible. Just look at the Oilers a few years ago when Roli got hot and then got them to the SC finals. Of course, the caps dont have as good a defense so a second round exit is probably likely.

  2. 2,800 miles on November 22 to play the Sharks.

  3. East final

  4. this season, there' s no telling.. they'll probably learn a bit from their first round loss to Philly last season... they definitely got the offense, character, and veteranship from Nylander and Fedorov.. plus, a lot of their players like Clark and Green just seem like winners.. they could go as far as the third round.  If not this year, then it shouldn't be too far down the road they really make an impact.

  5. Definitely a trendy pick to make some noise.

It's a bit difficult to make playoff predictions for the coming season; too many unknowns.  They have a new goaltender in Theodore, but otherwise the team is mostly unchanged.  In the main, they remained fairly healthy last year, and several guys had better-than-expected years.

If Theodore plays well, the team could certainly challenge.

  6. I would agree that they should be able to make the 2nd round.  What I can't wait for this is year is Federov's return to Columbus when the Capitals play the Blue Jackets.  I can't wait to see Federov get smashed to the ice, double bonus if it's Boll who gives the smack down.

  7. The capitals will either win the southeast division or come in 2nd to the Tampa bay lightning. Look for the caps to have a similar season to last year's. Should Theodore stay healthy and play well, I see them making the playoffs but losing in the first or second round. I don't think ovechkin will score 65 goals this season but you never know.

GO CANADIENS (100th year anniversary, 24 stanley cups)

  8. yea but thank god we dont got to worry about u in the division (flyer fans) im lik u alot i hav bin a fan since i was born my first thing i came home in was a lindros jersey (b4 he got his nickname lol)

  9. They will win the division by 7 points over the Lightning and 8 points over the Canes....They may make it out of the first round of the playoffs but not the second....they are getting much better though....
