  1. The common theme is that getting a job is as far as far as most people have to go. Unless someone has a gambling or drug problem there really is no reason to do anything more than getting a job.

Selling stuff is fairly self-defeating. It will get you cash but you're losing value unless the item being sold is something that you never really needed in the first place -- in which case why was it purchased? Selling low value items such as clothing is a waste of time. The time and effort involved would generate a better return if the person just got a job or a second job.

As for begging -- in some places it can make $10-18/hr if you get a good location but again so can a job and employment is not as embarrassing nor does it require being exposed to the elements all day.

Stripping is a job and there is nothing wrong with it if someone has the looks for it. The problem is that often the lifestyle will be harmful and end up costing more money than you make. Being a smart stripper is great but most get drawn into a life where they end up with no money at the end of it all.

  2. not too far. I wouldn't put my dignity or self-respect in danger. a job that's decent, if I'm not well educated, then maybe a waitress or babysitter, if I am (or at least know how to use a computer), maybe a secretary or a teacher in some summer class for children.

  3. Driving 30 miles to work.

Stripping would not make me much money, unless it paid by the pound! LOL!

  4. umm... i have a career, fashion.... so i don't go stripping, begging on the street, or standing on the corner with a sign.... i donate my used clothes.... i don't sell them.... i'm not poor....

  5. I'd start with getting a job. If that wasn't enough, maybe a second job, plus selling off my old stuff for a one-time cash infusion.

When I had some money saved up, I'd go to school part-time to improve my primary income.

By being responsible with a normal income, financial emergencies are rare and easily repaired.

  6. I'd look into any qualities I may have, then I'd plan in attending  some type of schooling to enhance those abilities. Face it, you're young and this is just the begining, do you want to be in the same spot 30 years from today?

A good aducation will change all that, it takes time, patience, money, effort, etc., but who benefits?

It's your life, don't waste it.
