How far would I have to bike to equal 5 miles of jogging?

I know there are many variables-type of bike etc. I am starting to cross train-I am a runner-but I am really starting to enjoy biking.

  1. It differs for every person.  It just depends how hard you run and how hard you ride your bike.

    this site suggests a 3:1 to a 4:1 ratio.  If it's uphill biking though it's considered a 1:1 ratio.
