The fastest electric trains e.g. the Japanese Shinkansen ('Bullet Train'), the French TGV and the Eurostar operate at around 200mph max.

The Maglev train - short for 'magnetic levitation' or what used to be called 'linear induction' can travel at 300mph.

There was once a rocket-powered train which could go even faster than that, but the experiment was not a success.

A maglev train can go around 300 mph. The railline is electrified and magnetized. The train is pushed by magnets that are "repulsing" each other. As the train moves down the track, different sections of track are electrified.

Well thereis atrain in France travelling at 300km an hour as well there is another in Germany travelling 350km and oe Shanghai that travels 400 km an hr .
