How fast can i get on my husband's insurance?

If i quit my job in 2 weeks, does my insurance also stop that same day? If it does, can i immediatley switch over to my husband's insurance eventhough he does not have open enrollment?

you can be covered by COBRA for 18 mos but you'll have to pay for your coverage +3% fee. you amy need this until your husband's coverage kicks in.

The end date of your insurance will depend on how they have been taking premiums out.

You can join your husbands plan because you will have a "qualifying event".

He just needs to contact his HR and add you to the plan

If there is a gap in coverage you can purchase a short term medical policy from Blue Cross, Assurant or Golden Rule to name a few. All three of these can be applied for on-line and be effective as fast as the day after you apply.

The 3% fee mentioned by murrayc is not mandatory it is an option the employer can charge you to cover administrative cost.
