  1. Learner drivers are subject to the same speed limits as all other road users in that class of vehicle, for cars that is 30mph in built up areas, 60mph on sincle carriageways and 70mph on dual carriageways and motorways (most learners are not allowed on motorways). Any of these limits can be varied by road signs.

  2. I would agree with the others but bear in mind that as you won't have the experience of driving at that speed, don't do it just because you can!

  3. They can travel up to the speed limit for that stretch of road.

Many people believe that learners are speed restricted, they are not, that's why you can fail your test for travelling too slow.

  4. you should be trained to drive at the speed for the road you are on to suite road weather and traffic conditions, on a dual carriage way you should at 70mph if conditions are allow, if a dual carriage way is on your driving test you will be expected to drive at 70mph unless conditions dictate other wise. if your trainer is not getting you to drive at 70 on it, find another trainer
