How fast do infielders throw?

Question

Have a bet with friends that MLB infielders can throw just as hard as pitchers.

Anyone have data on how many mph a throw from third or shortstop is to first base?

50s or 60s is the most ridiculous thing ive ever heard. Thats like little league. Maybe a second baseman might throw it 60 if its a shot hit right at him and he had time to walk it over to first. If you're a shortstop or a third baseman and you cant hit at least 83-85 on the gun, you arent playing in the pros. Furcal does have a GUN. He'll hit high mid 90s. Id bet most shortstops and third baseman can hit around 90 if they let loose.
